Radio Park closure and construction continues

Radio Park in central Fresno remains closed to the public as construction and major upgrades continue in earnest as of today. I read about this project a while back and was pleased to be reminded today that all of the improvements are well underway.

City officials broke ground on the construction back on December 8th. Since then, the park has been closed and looks more and more like a little war zone. My mom lives by this park, and it’s been in need of repair for almost three decades. I’m excited to see this park go from eyesore to something respectable and something the local residents can be proud of.

For those of you who don’t know, Radio Park is located on the southwest corner of Clinton and First Avenues. Its immediate cultural neighbor is the Fresno Art Museum. I’m sure the renovated park will serve to the boost the foot traffic to both.
