If there’s at least one good thing that has happened politically in Fresno, it’s Democrat Jim Costa holding onto his seat again, defeating Republican Michael Maher again since 2022. The race was closer than last time, as current results place Costa beating Maher by 4 points (52-48), as opposed by 8 points in 2022, the year where the red wave was no more than a little bleeding you’d get from a vaccine shot. This race was actually one of the most recent to be called by the AP. Any less Republicans is a good thing.
