by I was so bummed when I drove by this Taco Bell today. This is the one on Blackstone and McKinley, a football’s throw away from Fresno City College. It was also an easy jaunt from the Tower District for a lot of us coming back from a late night out. But alas, it has gone the way of the dodo bird.
What are all those students and club hoppers going to do now? This closing was doubly painful to see because it had only been built 2-3 years ago, had a huge dining room area, and was completely modern looking. I thought it was great for the neighborhood and vibed young, new, and fresh.
Last note, did you know there were companies out there that help protect an empty building from the homeless, vagrants, and squatters? I didn’t so I wanted to give them a shout out too!
