Bulldogs tamed by Cowboys

Well, it was fun while it lasted, right!? The Fresno State University football Bulldogs fell to the University of Wyoming Cowboys over the weekend in a much-anticipated Mountain West conference game. As a result, they fell out of the AP Top 25. Below are the highlights of the game in a video clip.

FSU took a #24 AP ranking with them to Wyoming while they faced their toughest test this season. The first half of the game wasn’t pretty, and Wyoming ran roughshod over a defense that looked slow and not able to bring down runners or receivers with any consistency. The offense was inefficient and ineffective in anything they tried to do which stemmed from their inability to run the ball. I was more than worried at halftime for sure.

The second got interesting when the Dogs’ defense came alive early in the 4th quarter and really started stymieing the Cowboys offense. We got within striking distance and had some great opportunities to pull this one out but a late ankle/knee injury to starting QB Mikey Keene sealed the deal for Wyoming. Our backup quarterback wasn’t able to complete the comeback and just like that, the second longest winning streak in the country came to a screeching halt.
