Since joining the conference in 2012, the Bulldogs are now 9-5 in Mountain West openers. They have won four out of their last seven openers, all consecutive. When talking conference openers, the Bulldogs are 3-4 since 2012 when their MW opener is on the road. The 2025 season is the last season as a member of the Mountain West for the Bulldogs.
Fresno State is set to join the Pac-12 in 2026, an announcement that was made last year. Fresno State has been a member of the Mountain West since 2012 and have won four conference titles since then – the second-most in the conference behind Boise State (5). Fresno State has a 62-40 all-time Mountain West only record and has been below .500 in conference play just three times since joining the league.
