The Fresno State football Bulldogs went to the Big Island and snuck out with a 23-21 victory in Mountain West play. Here are some highlights from the official Mountain West YouTube channel. This was FSU’s first win over Hawai’i since 2022 and their first win on the island since 2019.
Since joining the conference in 2012, the Bulldogs are now 9-5 in Mountain West openers. They have won four out of their last seven openers, all consecutive. When talking conference openers, the Bulldogs are 3-4 since 2012 when their MW opener is on the road. The 2025 season is the last season as a member of the Mountain West for the Bulldogs.
Fresno State is set to join the Pac-12 in 2026, an announcement that was made last year. Fresno State has been a member of the Mountain West since 2012 and have won four conference titles since then – the second-most in the conference behind Boise State (5). Fresno State has a 62-40 all-time Mountain West only record and has been below .500 in conference play just three times since joining the league.
